Description
This interdisciplinary program will cover Child Abuse and Neglect, and the role of pediatric practitioners in handling these cases. All aspects will be covered, with the common thread being a recent case at Children’s Memorial Hospital where all three speakers were involved. The relationship to other forms of domestic violence will also be discussed as all three types are deeply interrelated.
These three speakers bring a wealth of knowledge and many years of practical experience in the field. Both Dr. Flaherty and Dr. Kenney are recent contributors to “Child Abuse and Neglect, Diagnosis, Treatment and Evidence” Carole Jenny (ed.) Elsevier 2009.
