Erik R. Dubberke, MD, MSPH, Assistant Professor of Medicine, Washington University School of Medicine
Erik R. Dubberke, MD received his MD from University of Illinois College of Medicine and MSPH from St. Louis University. Dr. Dubberke did his internal medicine internship and residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital / Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and stayed at Washington University School of Medicine for his Infectious Diseases fellowship. Dr. Dubberke joined the Infectious Diseases Division faculty at Washington University School of Medicine in 2005. He helped develop the Infectious Diseases Transplant consult service and clinic, and he is an Associate Hospital Epidemiologist at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and the Medical Director of Infection Prevention and Control at Missouri Baptist Medical Center. Dr. Dubberke’s research focuses on the prevention, risk factors, and outcomes of Clostridium difficile-associated disease in the general hospitalized patient population as well as stem cell transplant recipients. He is also active in developing and evaluating infection prevention and treatment protocols in stem cell and solid organ transplant recipients.
