Description
Collaborative environments provide a convenient and personalized way for associations to store and find the information and tools needed to be more productive. These environments combine intranet technology with newer technologies such as collaboration, document management, and federated search. The result is usually called a Knowledge Management (KM) Portal, with information workers as its intended audience. Mandating the use of these solutions can often be difficult. Practical experience shows that technology is only one small part in the success of any KM Portal Solution as organizational culture and internal management have a much greater impact on the overall success. Engage in an entertaining and informative discussion on defining optimal workable portal and collaboration solution strategies, building solutions people want to use, and more.
