Bonnie Koenig is a consultant working with associations on developing their strategic thinking and international programs. She has worked for over 25 years with local, national and international organizations in the areas of developing international program strategies, strategic planning, Board and staff training, and other governance and management issues. Prior to beginning her consulting practice, Going International in 1996, she was the executive director of Zonta International, a service organization with members in 65 countries, and the Council of Great Lakes Governors.
Bonnie is the author of the book “Going Global the Greater Good: Succeeding as a Nonprofit in the International Community”, Jossey Bass, 2004, as well as numerous articles about the operations of nonprofit organizations. She has a M.A. from Yale University in International Relations. She has lived in Australia, China, France and Mauritania, West Africa and has traveled to over 40 countries.
