Description
The cost of workplace fraud in the US is estimated at $300 billion per year. Fraud affects financial resources as well as office morale and requires a substantial commitment of human resources to cope with its aftermath. A more cost-effective approach calls for the development of comprehensive internal controls that create an environment hostile to fraud and enable a nonprofit to deal swiftly with those who violate its policies. This session will provide practical advice on the use of internal controls to minimize financial losses, detect fraudulent schemes, and dissuade would-be thieves.
