Serving as an association officer or director is an honor. However, with that honor comes legal responsibilities and risks of which many association leaders are often unaware of or ill informed. This session provides expert guidance on what officers, directors and other leaders must know to serve responsibly, offers a model to use that information and shares best practices to protect the association when an officer or director violates his or her legal or ethical duties.
