Dr. Stevens is a Professor in the Departments of Interdisciplinary Oncology, University of South Florida College of Medicine and Department Chief of the Radiation Oncology program at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute in Tampa, Florida.
Dr. Stevens earned a medical degree at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois, followed by a Ph.D. a year later. He completed a Residency in Radiation Oncology at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC.
Board certified by the American Board of Radiology, with a subspecialty in Radiation Oncology, Dr. Stevens is active in several institutional and national committees. In 2006 he was named a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP).
Dr. Stevens has published more than 150 articles, letters, abstracts, and book chapters. He currently serves as member of the editorial board for International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology, and Physics. His research interest is in lung cancer radiotherapy, mesothelioma and radiobiology. Dr. Stevens holds one patent.
