Roberto Santiago , M.D. , Dr. Isaac Gonzalez Martinez Oncologic Hospital
I was a speaker in the spanish educational session at the 49th Annual meeting in Los Angeles. That opportunity as well as having authored several abstracts at ASTRO, ASCO and AAPM have given me a more critical perspective of the educational sessions at such events. Also, I authored a couple of book chapters and several manuscripts in peer reviewed journals. I firmly believe the process of getting these manuscripts accepted and published improved my ability to clearly present my observations and conclusions on a given subject.
Other important experiences that qualify me to present topic are my strong education, my experience as an editorial assistant for Oncolink (2002-2004), and my present Ad honorem appointments in several academic clinical departments of the UPR School of Medicine where I actively participate in their tumor boards, grand-round lectures, journal clubs and supervision of resident/fellow rotations. Currently, I am part of a group practice providing radiation oncology services at two hospitals in the San Juan metropolitan area.
