Board certified pathologist with a PhD in human pathology. I study how environmental carcinogens (asbestos and erionite mineral fibers), viruses and genetics interact in human carcinogenesis. Mesothelioma is the cancer in which I conduct these studies because my work has demonstrated that genetic predisposition and viral infection can interact with asbestos and erionite to cause this malignancy.
