Pennie Seibert, PhD, INI Director of Research, Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center
Dr. Pennie S. Seibert’s (Boise State University Professor and Idaho Neurological Institute Director of Research) research focuses on CNS injury, repair, and neuroplasticity, is conducted in collaboration with a team of medical professionals, and is designed to advance basic knowledge while consistently improving patient outcomes. Examples of research projects include a 20-year longitudinal study of TBI, spinal injury, stroke, aneurisms, arterial thrombolytic therapy intervention, neuropathology, CNS tumors, sleep disorders, deep brain stimulation, movement disorders, innovative surgical procedures, and a wide range of telemedicine applications. Her program of research has yielded over 190 international, national, and regional publications and presentations.
