Laurie leads Ontario Telemedicine Network’s (OTN) Telehomecare program. A strong advocate for the use of information, communications and technology in health care, Laurie has provided leadership and oversight for a number of innovative telehealth programs in Canada. A registered nurse with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and a Master’s Degree in Health Services Administration, Laurie is also the past President of the Canadian Society of Telehealth (CST).

Maryann Yeo, RN, PhD, Clinical Coordinator, Telehealth, Telehealth, Calgary Health Region
Maryann Yeo is the Clinical Coordinator for the Rural Palliative Telehealth Project, Calgary Health Region. She is a Registered Nurse and holds a Ph.D. in educational psychology with a specialty in health education. She has extensive experience in research project management and the coordination of studies in: telehealth standards and policies; telehealth readiness; and in research in primary-care physicians’ office settings; and expertise in research, development, production, and evaluation of health/patient education programs and resources. Dr. Yeo is currently a member of the Canadian Society of Telehealth Education Committee and is the chair of the 2008 Workshop-Breakfast Roundtable Sub-committee.
