Teresa Rincon is the eICU Nurse Director of the Sacramento eICU® serving 161 beds, 10 hospitals and 12 ICUs at Sutter Health, a 26 acute care hospital system in Northern California. She has assisted in the roll-out of eICU services and has coordinated critical care and information service teams in the development best practice screening and care processes, data collection and data base management at a systems level. She is a nationally recognized expert and speaker on severe sepsis and Tele-ICU nursing. She is a PhD candidate at University of Kansas School of Nursing, KUMC
Dr. Rebecca J. Zapatochny Rufo is the Operations Director at the Chicago based Resurrection eICU® Program serving 182 critical care beds across 7 acute care facilities and 1 LTCH with telemedicine technology. Under Dr. Rufo’s leadership a multi-professional, organizational driven model to integrate principals of clinical transformation, evidence based practice and risk reduction strategies to standardize and systemize quality patient care has been accomplished. Dr. Rufo is a recognized leader in Tele-Nursing and has published multiple articles on the topic of virtual ICU care.

Theresa Davis coordinated a disaster response project using a Tele-ICU approach to assist in Mass Casualty Incident management in the state of Virginia. She is a PhD candidate at George Mason University currently working on her dissertation on this topic. Theresa has served as the Patient Care Director of enVision eICU serving 5 hospitals and 7 ICU at Inova Health Systems in Falls Church Virginia for over 5 years. In her role she has assisted in not only the start-up of the Tele-ICU services but has led patient safety monitoring and quality care initiatives at a systems level.
