Robert Jarrin, JD, Director, Government Affairs, Qualcomm
Robert Jarrin is a Director of Government Affairs for Qualcomm Incorporated and is based in Washington, DC. Jarrin represents Qualcomm on US domestic regulatory matters relating to wireless health and life sciences. His areas of responsibility include health policy, FDA regulatory oversight, CMS reimbursement and the regulation of health information security and privacy as they relate to wireless technology. Jarrin also serves as Co-Chair of the US Policy Working Group for the Continua Health Alliance. Prior to joining Qualcomm, Jarrin worked as a Manager of Strategic Partnerships for Ericsson Wireless Communications, served as a Law Clerk in the White House Office of Counsel to President Clinton and also served as a Law Clerk and subsequent Consultant in the US Department of Justice to Attorney General Janet Reno. Jarrin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland at College Park and a Juris Doctorate from Northeastern University School of Law.
Giselle Ricur, MD is an ophthalmologist who has trained in several foreign telemedicine programs and her expertise includes development of ophthalmic-related websites for both professional and patient education, as well as institutional eye care sites. She has also published many articles and is an invited lecturer regarding real-time consultations and the physician/patient relationship in telemedicine. She is also the Medical Advisor for several e-health-related institutions.
Donald Jones, JD, Vice President, Business Development, Health and Life Sciences, Qualcomm
Donald Jones serves as vice president of business development for health and life sciences at QUALCOMM Incorporated. In this role, he is responsible for leading QUALCOMM’s efforts to enable the use of wireless technologies in the health and medical device markets. He is also a founder and board member of the Wireless Life Sciences Alliance, an organization that works with both the wireless and life science industries to enable new business models and business process improvements in all sectors of the life sciences industry including healthcare services, healthcare information technology, biopharmaceuticals and medical devices.
Caterina Masino has been as a data analyst for the University Health Network, Telehealth Department for the last 5 years. In addition to data reporting activities, she also support various research and operational initiatives. She is currently in the process of completing a Master of Arts Degree at the University of Toronto. Her thesis focus is on survey methodology and telemedicine.
Max Stachura, MD, Director, Center for Telehealth, Medical College of Georgia
Dr. Stachura is Director, Center for Telehealth and Professor in the Schools of Medicine, Nursing, and Graduate Studies at the Medical College of Georgia, and Georgia Research Alliance Scholar in Telemedicine. He is Associate Editor of "Telemedicine and e-Health" and the "International Journal of Telemedicine and Applications", and immediate past president of the Alliance for Public Technology.
