Jay H. Shore, M.D., MPH is an Associate Professor at the University of Colorado Denver’s Department of Psychiatry and the School of Public Health’s Centers for American Indian and Alaska Native Health. He is a subject matter expert for the Department of Defense’s Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center and leads the Native Domain for the Department of Veterans’ Affairs Veterans Rural Health Resource Center Western Region. Dr. Shore has been an ATA member since 2000, serves on its board of directors, and is an active member in the TeleMental Health Special Interest Group for which he is the vice-chair.

Robert Hill, PhD, Professor, Veterans Rural Health Resource Center - Western Region
Robert Hill, Ph.D., is a Professor of Educational Psychology at the University of Utah. He is also a member of the Rural Health Resource Center: Western Region team. Dr. Hill has published extensively in areas related to healthcare delivery, geriatrics, and the role of technology in outreach efforts in rural settings. In 2003 he was a Fulbright Scholar in the Netherlands examining innovative strategies in healthcare delivery to geriatric patients through the Brain and Behavior Institute at Maastricht University, NL. He is a licensed psychologist in Utah and is board certified through the American Board of Professional Psychology.
Byron Bair, MD, MBA, Director, Veterans Rural Health Resource Center-Western Region
Dr. Bair is the Director for the Veterans Rural Health Resource Center - Western Region. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatric Internal Medicine, Psychiatry and Geriatric Psychiatry and obtained a special MBA for physician administrator from the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah. He is a Professor of Internal Medicine and Psychiatry at the University Of Utah School Of Medicine and an Adjunct Professor of Nursing at the University Of Utah School Of Nursing. His research interests include health care delivery systems, decision support systems, and disruptive behaviors in cognitively impaired elders.
Nancy K. Dailey, MSN, RN-BC, Deputy Director, Veterans Rural Health Resource Center-Western Region
Nancy K. Dailey, MSN, RN-BC is Deputy Director, Rural Health Resource Center - Western Region, Department of Veteran Affairs, Office of Rural Health and Adjunct Faculty, University of Utah College of Nursing. She has been a practicing registered nurse for over 20 years. Her clinical specialty is in case management, with an emphasis on wellness, disease management, and geriatrics. Since 2003, she has managed the development and implementation of the VA Salt Lake City Telehealth program, including facility and home-based programs designed to support of geriatric veterans and improve healthcare access in rural locations.
Elizabeth Brooks, MS, Native Domain Deputy, Veterans Rural Health Resource Center-Western Region
Elizabeth Brooks, MS, has worked with the VA examining American Indian and veteran’s health issues since 2004. She currently serves as the Native Domain deputy director, with the VA’s Veteran’s Rural Health Resource Center-Western Region. Ms. Brooks’ is based at the University of Colorado Denver where her research focus currently centers around service utilization issues for veterans and American Indians, telehealth technologies in rural areas, and physician healthcare. Ms. Brooks has completed coursework towards her Ph.D. at the University of Colorado’s Clinical Science program and is in the process of finalizing her dissertation research project (expected December 2009).
Gina Bradley, MSN, RN, Telehealth Manager, Salt Lake City VAMC
Gina Bradley is a practicing RN at the VA SLC Health Care System. She has extensive experience working throughout the spectrum of patient care with her primary focus on critical care, wellness, and disease management. She currently manages the development and implementation of the Home Telehealth, Teleretinal, and General Telehealth Programs. These are facility and home based programs designed to manage the delivery of health care services using health informatics, disease management and telehealth technologies to facilitate access to care, and improve health, with the intent of providing the right care in the right place at the right time.
