Eva Lai, PhD, Regenerative Medicine Portfolio Manager, TATRC
Dr. Eva Lai has been on detail to TATRC at USAMRMC since 2006 and leads and manages the research directions for the Regenerative Medicine portfolio and the Biomonitoring Technologies portfolio. Dr. Lai also holds a faculty appointment with the Whiting School of Engineering in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering as an Assistant Research Professor at the Johns Hopkins University since 2005. Prior to her assignment to TATRC and her Hopkins research faculty position, she worked at the Headquarters for NASA as a Senior Scientist. Dr. Lai received her BS in Chemical Engineering and held double minors in Biomedical Engineering and Chemistry from the University of Rochester and her PhD in Chemical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University.

Gregory Gahm, PhD, Director, National Center for Telehealth And Technology
Dr. Greg Gahm is the Director of the National Center for Telehealth and Technology (T2). He is a retired U.S. Army Colonel where he was a clinical neuropsychologist with over 20 years experience. He completed his doctorate in clinical psychology at the State University of New York at Stony Brook and post-doctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Dr. Gahm has managed many multi-year funded research projects, including ongoing trials in Virtual Reality and Prolonged Exposure Therapy. He directs the DoD Suicide Risk Management & Surveillance Office, responsible for deployment of the DoD Suicide Event Report.
COL Ronald Poropatich, MD, Deputy Director, S Army Medical Research and Material Command (USAMRMC), Telemedicine & Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC)
Colonel Ron Poropatich, MD is the TATRC Deputy Director, US Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC) at Fort Detrick, MD which manages over $450 million/year in federally funded research. COL Poropatich is a Professor of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University for the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD, and is the Chair of the NATO Telemedicine Expert Team. He is a former President and Board Member of the American Telemedicine Association and a practicing Pulmonary Medicine physician at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, DC. He currently serves as an Associate Editor for the “Telemedicine and e-Health Journal”.
Jay H. Shore, MD, MPH, Associate Professor, University of Colorado, Denver
Jay H. Shore, M.D., MPH is an Associate Professor at the University of Colorado Denver’s Department of Psychiatry and the School of Public Health’s Centers for American Indian and Alaska Native Health. He is a subject matter expert for the Department of Defense’s Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center and leads the Native Domain for the Department of Veterans’ Affairs Veterans Rural Health Resource Center Western Region. Dr. Shore has been an ATA member since 2000, serves on its board of directors, and is an active member in the TeleMental Health Special Interest Group for which he is the vice-chair.
