Larry D. Flournoy, Associate Director, Academy for Telecommunications and Learning Technology, Texas A&M University
Larry Flournoy is Associate Director of the Academy for Telecommunications and Learning Technology at Texas A&M University. He served as the Interim CIO of Texas A&M University System Health Science Center for four years. In both these positions, he planned and implemented rural and urban networks supporting medical and k20 activities. For the past 11 years, he has researched into advanced telecommunications delivery of pre-hospital trauma and acute care. He was the Technical Director and administrative lead for the DREAMS and T5 telemedicine projects funded by TATRC. Mr. Flournoy co-authored the successful Texas FCC Rural Healthcare Pilot Program grant.

Dale Alverson, MD, Professor of Pediatrics and Regents’ Professor, University of New Mexico
Dr. Alverson is a Professor of Pediatrics and Regents’ Professor on faculty at the University of New Mexico, School of Medicine. Since 1995, he has been the Medical Director of the Center for Telehealth and Cybermedicine Research at the University of New Mexico. In that role, he has been involved in the planning, implementation, research and evaluation of Telemedicine systems for New Mexico, primarily serving its rural communities. He is president-elect of ATA and becomes President in 2010. He is involved in international Telehealth projects in Latin America, as well as telehealth programs in Nepal, Iraq, Afghanistan, India, and Africa.
Charles Magruder, MD, Associate Director, Texas A&M University, Academy
Charley Magruder is a medical epidemiologist who serves as a coordinator of health information exchange activities at CDC's National Center for Public Health Informatics. Prior to coming to the CDC, Charley worked several years as a local health department director and health officer. After completing his residency in General Public Health and Preventive Medicine at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, he spent four years as the Chief of Preventive Medicine at Womack Army Medical Center, located at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. In civilian life, he worked four years as the Director and Health Officer of the Wichita/Sedgwick County, Kansas Health Department. During this time, he began to address surveillance needs associated with bioterrorism preparations and worked with the NACCHO IT committee on these and other informatics issues pertinent to local public health.
Michael J. McGill, Ph.D. is Director Health Sciences for Internet2. Dr. McGill was the Corporate VP and CIO of the Henry Ford Health System and prior to that CIO of the University of Michigan Health System and headed its telecommunication and phone networks. He was Vice president of OCLC (Online Computer Library Center), Inc: Associate Professor, Assistant Dean at Syracuse University; Program Director at the National Science Foundation and Senior Computer and Information Science Advisor, U.S. EPA. He is a fellow of the AAAS and is an author and co-author of Introduction to Modern Information Retrieval published by McGraw-Hill.
