James P. Marcin, MD, MPH, Professor, UC Davis Children's Hospital
Dr. James Marcin, is Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at the UC Davis Medical Center. He works in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at the UC Davis Children’s Hospital and is the Director of the UC Davis Children’s Hospital Telemedicine Program at the Center for Health and Technology. His expertise includes pediatric critical care and emergency medicine telemedicine and quality of care measures. He is investigating the impact of telemedicine on the quality of care delivered to acutely ill and injured children, while simultaneously addressing access barriers and disparities in quality delivered to critically ill children.

Anthony J. Urquiza, PhD, Director, Mental Health Services and Clinical Research, University of California, Davis
Dr. Urquiza is a clinical child psychologist and Director of Mental Health Services and Clinical Research at the UC Davis CAARE Center, Department of Pediatrics, UC Davis Children's Hospital. His primary clinical research interests and publications address all types of family violence, emphasizing on interventions for high-risk families. His focus has included treatment approaches to physically abusive families (i.e., PCIT), the dissemination of empirically supported treatments to community mental health agencies, an examination of culture and family violence, the treatment of sexually abused children and survivors of childhood sexual abuse, and psychodiagnostic issues as they apply to child maltreatment.
Sheridan Miyamoto, MSN, FNP, Nurse Practitioner III, University of California, Davis
Ms. Miyamoto is a Family Nurse Practitioner at the CAARE Diagnostic and Treatment Center, University of California, Davis Medical Center. She is the coordinator of the Sacramento County Pediatric Medical Clearance Program evaluating children for physical abuse, sexual abuse and neglect. She has been a sexual assault examiner on the pediatric sexual abuse emergency response team providing acute and follow-up child sexual abuse exams for the past twelve years. She currently helps support six rural sites through live telemedicine consultations, allowing children to receive quality care within their own community.
Ulfat Shaikh, MD, MPH, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, University of California, Davis
Dr. Shaikh is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and has expertise in the area of general pediatrics and pediatric nutrition. She leads the Healthy Eating Active Living Telehealth Program at UC Davis Medical Center. She also provides clinical care at the UC Davis Pediatric Weight Management Clinic, Pediatric Diagnostic Clinic and Lactation Clinic. Her research focuses on improving the quality of pediatric healthcare delivery for children with nutritional issues. She is currently investigating how health information technology can be effectively utilized to enhance healthcare quality.
