Karen S. Rheuban, MD currently serves as Professor of Pediatrics (Cardiology), Senior Associate Dean for External Affairs and Continuing Medical Education and Medical Director of the Office of Telemedicine at UVA. She is President of the American Telemedicine Association, and a board member of the Center for Telehealth and E-Health Law. She has presented Congressional testimony re telehealth, she has worked with Virginia Medicaid to provide coverage of telehealth services for all eligible Virginia children regardless of geographic location.

Kathleen Webster, MD, Associate Professor, Loyola University Medical Center
Dr. Kathleen Webster, Associate Professor of Pediatrics, is Director of Pediatric Critical Care and Pediatric Quality Improvement at Loyola University Medical Center. After residency at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital St. Louis and fellowship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, Dr. Webster served as Medical Director of the Pediatric ICU at University of Kansas before joining Loyola. Her main interests focus on telemedicine and its application in Quality Improvement. She has presented on topics related to telemedicine and quality improvement at local, regional and national conferences. Dr Webster also holds several certificates in health care management/leadership and is currently completing an MBA.
Alan Silverman, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Medical College of Wisconsin
Dr. Silverman is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin, and the Medical Staff Section Chief of Pediatric Psychology for Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. His primary clinical services are provided through the section of Gastroenterology and Nutrition working with families of children diagnosed with Feeding Disorders of Childhood. He also leads the research efforts of the interdisciplinary feeding program at the Children’s Hospital in Wisconsin, which includes studies of disease etiology, treatment efficacy, and telemedicine interventions. He has authored many original publications including a review of feeding and vomiting disorders for the Handbook of Pediatric Psychology.
Nancy E. Brown-Connolly is a consultant, author and speaker for E-Health. Co-author of, “Mental Health Professionals and the New Technologies: A handbook for practice today,” and as the Clinical Research manager for Blue Cross of California, was responsible for design and implementation of health services solutions, research and evaluation of new technology programs, including the statewide telemedicine network, and In-Home Asthma Monitoring project. Most recently, Nancy has served with the Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC), Fort Detrick, in support of TATRC projects and Congressional programs and is on the planning committee for E-Health in South Carolina.
