Description
"Obesity in the United States and worldwide is increasing. It is becoming increasingly recognized that early feeding regimens and excessive weight gain could result in adulthood obesity and metabolic syndrome. In addition to excessive weight gain in early infancy, introduction of complementary foods and nutrient density of such foods may have an impact on the onset of obesity. Join this session to hear discussions about the introduction of complementary foods and issues surrounding the timing of such foods, as well as the role of the dietitian in guiding patients and families in planning and implementing appropriate feeding regimens within the context of cultural and social environments."
