Description
HIV/AIDS, TB and malaria kill more than 6 million people each year. This session will provide information on the development of vaccines that could dramatically reduce the rate of infection and mortality associated with these killer diseases.



Objectives:
  • Provide an understanding of the role of vaccines in controlling the HIV/AIDS, TB and malaria pandemics.

  • Inform participants about the status of new and promising vaccines for HIV/AIDS, TB and malaria.

  • Provide an overview of the product development partnership (PDP) model and the role of industry, academia, governments and NGOs in developing new vaccines.
