Description
Industrial biotechnology becomes economically competitive in these days because of oil's rising cost and the technical potential of modern biotechnologies. Both fields—alternatives to existing processes and completely new products—offer attractive investment opportunities, and this international panel will discuss success factors for identifying value drivers, raising capital and investing.

Objectives:
  • Identify the value driver. Industrial biotechnology provides disruptive processes as well as innovative products. Is the value driver in the process or in the product?

  • Discuss whether industrial biotechnology will follow the model of health-care biotech in generating value through partnering?

  • Present a view into industrial biotech's future: What is in the pipeline? Where are the future investment opportunities?
