Description
The Biotechnology for Europe Study, a comprehensive stock-taking exercise carried out by the European Commission to be published in April 2007, describes the contribution of modern biotechnology in all major application fields to economic growth, employment, public health and sustainable development. Based on the study's results, this session will explore the possible ways forward for European biotechnology policies in an international context.



Objectives:
  • Gain a clear understanding and better insight into the current use and impact of modern biotechnology applications.
