Description
Some of the slow uptake of biotechnology into health-care practice stems from the lack of sufficient evidence of clinical utility for making coverage decisions. This workshop will inform participants of the nature of the systemic challenges our delivery system faces—you must know your customer—and then offer practical advice on the integration of biotechnology products.
Objectives:
Explain the disruptive nature of genomics technologies in policy, economic and social terms.
Articulate the challenges of integration facing genomics and biotechnology into health-care services.
Offer case studies on how some developers, payers, regulators and providers are addressing these challenges.
