Description
The CAFC has recently decided several cases in electronics and industrial chemistry addressing the extent to which extraterritorial activities may induce liability for infringement of U.S. patents; these cases have important implications for the biopharmaceutical industry. Learn the details in this session.



Objectives:
  • Provide an analysis of recent cases regarding whether claims of U.S. patents may be infringed by foreign activities.

  • Explore the implications of those decisions for the biopharmaceutical industry.

  • Provide an update and explore the implications of proposed legislative responses to these cases, such as the elimination of 35 U.S.C. § 271(f).
