Description
The seminar will present the progress of the Chinese biotechnology industry in the following aspects: biotechnology development (China National Center for Biotechnology Development); drug approval process (State Food and Drug Administration); intellectual property protection (State Intellectual Property Office); and the company perspective from the largest biopharmaceutical companies and centers in China.



Objectives:
  • Present the progress of the booming biotechnology industry in China—its history, current status, perspective, recent achievements, policies and regulations, the progress of intellectual property protection, biotech commercialization and regulatory approval process.

  • Share with other developing countries experience China has in applying biotech to solve issues unique to developing countries such as growing population, agriculture, national health quality, environmental pollution, etc.

  • Outline business and market opportunities for the global biotech industry.
