Description
The European Union provides public funds (about US $1 billion annually) for life sciences research through its research funding programs, the Framework Programs, which is open for collaboration between EU-based organizations and nearly all the countries in the world. This session features high-level speakers from the European Commission, which is the EU's executive branch that manages these funds.
Objectives:
Gain knowledge about the funding opportunities for business in the funding program.
Learn about the funding opportunities for cooperation between EU-based companies and researchers with organizations outside the EU, notably Asia, Africa and South America.
Gain knowledge about the Human Potential Program, which was formerly known as the EC Marie Curie fellowship program.
