Description
Israel is currently rated first in the world for medical device patents per capita, fourth for bio-pharma patents, and among the three worldwide leading countries in the medical device arena. Israel with its largest number of scientists per capita in the world has the highest civilian R&D budget/GDP, and is fourth in investments in Biotechnology/GDP. The increasing convergence of biomedical technologies and other science driven domains such as nanotech, smart materials, new sensors and leading-edge electronics presents enormous opportunities for Israel and its global partners.
