This session provides an update on Mexico's continuing support of cutting-edge biotechnology applications in human and animal health care, agriculture and bioenergy. Discussions will highlight how regional initiatives such as BioMonterrey in northern Mexico are building knowledge-based initiatives and forging innovative cross-border collaborations with the United States, Europe and other regions.



Objectives:

Support and promote Mexico's presence at BIO 2007 by providing a forum to convene Mexican delegation members and other interested BIO attendees.

Present concrete opportunities for collaboration and input from BIO attendees with research or commercial interests in Mexico.

Openly discuss any biotechnology-related challenges facing Mexico in terms of public perception, regulatory framework, intellectual property protection, investment capital and related issues.
