Description
This session provides an update on Mexico's continuing support of cutting-edge biotechnology applications in human and animal health care, agriculture and bioenergy. Discussions will highlight how regional initiatives such as BioMonterrey in northern Mexico are building knowledge-based initiatives and forging innovative cross-border collaborations with the United States, Europe and other regions.



Objectives:
  • Support and promote Mexico's presence at BIO 2007 by providing a forum to convene Mexican delegation members and other interested BIO attendees.

  • Present concrete opportunities for collaboration and input from BIO attendees with research or commercial interests in Mexico.

  • Openly discuss any biotechnology-related challenges facing Mexico in terms of public perception, regulatory framework, intellectual property protection, investment capital and related issues.
