Description
This country seminar will allow the global community to gain a better understanding of recent developments in Taiwan biotechnology industry, especially in pharmaceutical sector, botanical drug development and medical device applications from the representatives of key government officials, research Institutes and industry leaders. This seminar will also address the breakthrough events such as therapeutic antibody, AIDS and avian flu DNA vaccine, government support and incentives as well as the country's effort in new drug development.



Objectives:
  • Detail Taiwan's strengths in biotech industry-government incentives and achievements in the private sector.

  • Highlight new developments in Taiwan's pharmaceutical industry and botanical drugs development.

  • Understand how Taiwan's advantages can be leveraged in the development of diagnostics and medical devices.
