Not-for-profit organizations are finding it harder these days to find the quantity of volunteers they need to turn their visions into reality. Far too many seem content to settle for what are often referred to as “warm bodies”, and hold the view that finding those with the specific skills and competencies they truly need is an impossible task.
What more can you do to recruit them? What more can you do to keep them? All of the experts say, just like staff, volunteers must be managed. This workshop shares a number of volunteer management best practices, and prompts the Board to establish a plan and allocate resources to ensure the organization continues to attract the quantity and quality of volunteers it needs to achieve its future goals.
