Florence Doyle is Vice President of Supply Chain Management at Catholic Health East (CHE), Newtown Square, PA. She provides leadership for the planning, organizing and administering of Supply Chain operations to assure high-quality service to customers while achieving organizational objectives. Her more than 34 years of supply chain experience include sourcing & contracting, procurement, logistics, inventory control, performance improvement and information systems.
Prior to CHE Doyle was the Chair, Division of Materials Management at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. She has also served as Director of Perioperative Finance and Director of Supply Chain at the Rochester General Health System in Rochester, NY.
Doyle has spoken both on a national and regional basis. Her presentations have been to various organizations including Health Industry Group Purchasing Association (HIGPA), Western States Healthcare Materials Management Association, Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. Global Investor Conference Series – e-Health Educational Seminar, Premier Annual Conference and Business Partner Exhibition, Georgetown University Healthcare Leadership Institute, and the Association for Healthcare Resource & Materials Management (AHRMM) Annual Conferences.
She has been published in the Materials Management in Healthcare, the Journal of Healthcare Material Management, and Surgical Services Management. Her articles have included such topics as, “Act with ethics Sarbanes-Oxley’s role in helping to ensure supply chain integrity” and “Endless Possibilities: Using the Internet in the Supply Chain Process.”
During her career, Doyle has served as chair of various Group Purchasing Organization committees. She is active in AHRMM and has served on numerous committees and work groups, most recently chairing the task force for “The Award for Excellence in Healthcare Supply Chain Innovation.” She participates in Strategic Marketplace Initiative (SMI) and provided team leadership for the initiative, “The Link Between Healthcare Supply Chain & Revenue.” She is a member of the Materials Management in Health Care (AHA) Advisory Board, Consorta Board, and HealthTrust Purchasing Group Equity Board.
Doyle earned her MBA from the Rochester Institute of Technology, where she received the Dean’s Scholastic Award.
