Description
This highly informative, interactive session will focus on addressing the biggest sources of miscommunication between young people and employers, how this disconnect affects both groups, and what companies can do to make themselves more interesting, approachable, relevant and attractive to this new generation entering the workforce. Even when armed with the best possible education, millions of young people are transitioning into the working world without a solid grasp of who they are, what they really want, or how to get it. They also struggle to grasp the full range of opportunities that truly exist for them. Then they begin their career search researching industries, companies and job opportunities that they don't totally understand. They accept offers for employment with unclear expectations. It's no wonder that 18-30 year olds are switching jobs every 1-2 years these days! Turnover is also costing companies over $340 billion a year. Understanding why these challenges exist opens the doors to creative solutions to approach young people more intuitively. This session will focus on bridging the communication gap between young people seeking opportunities and the organizations and companies who want them.
