Description
Learn how increased collaboration in a decentralized career model can help improve services for your students, increase professional development opportunities for your staff and raise the profile of career services on your campus. The University of Minnesota's Twin Cities campus's hybrid model of decentralized and regionalized career services is coordinated through a self-imposed structure for career services. The "glue" that holds the individual career services offices together is the Career Development Network (CDN), a self-managed group of career services professionals. In this session we will share ideas about how to create such a collaborative structure on your campus, and how to maximize collaboration across offices. Participants will be challenged to identify new collaborations to foster the enhancement of career development services on their own campuses.
