Description
"This session will demonstrate a cutting-edge opportunity to develop/build partnerships between students, companies, alumni, and university. The idea of a Corporate Spring Break Tour steps beyond the limitations of career fairs and information sessions. It allows freshman and sophomore students to ""try on"" a professional role by acquiring information about different professions, learning more about participating companies, and gaining lasting professional development skills. For employers, it offers a multifaceted introduction to potential recruits that contributes to the career development of students while highlighting company culture and industry trends. Through video and pictures, attendees will learn best practices on developing and customizing a program. Topics will include start-up of a new tour; managing logistics and funding; company participation; professional development of students before, during, and after the trip; and evaluating and tracking the program to ensure value for student, company, and university participants.
