Description
"Career and human resource professionals often teach career courses and provide career workshops for classes and organizations. Interactive techniques and having fun are proven methods to increase learning and inspire motivation. In this session seasoned career professionals will share a variety of games, exercises, and activities that they have created and used to teach career development principles, including career planning, identifying interests and personality traits, writing effective resumes, and improving interviewing skills. Included are activities that have been effective and well received by students. You will experience several of the exercises and take home a packet of activities to implement in your courses. These exercises are sure to fit any budget and can also be adapted to a variety of majors/academic backgrounds to fit the student audience. The session will also include the exchange of successful ""work and play"" activities from workshop participants.
