Description
"While the economy dictates recruiting activity, competition for hiring the “best,” no matter what the number, is constant. In addition, the supply of graduates may not always meet the demand. One strategy some employers are using to achieve recruiting success is to “think outside the border.” This session will focus on recruiting in the Canadian context. To do this, how do you begin? What do you need to know? What's different about recruiting in Canada? Where do you learn about institutions and programs? How do you connect with career centers? In this session, participants will gain knowledge of the Canadian post-secondary context and recruitment practices, the steps to initiate an effective recruitment strategy, relevant legal issues, and visa requirements.
