Employer Websites and Online Applications: Students Benchmark Current Practices
Track : Technology
Program Code: 500
Date: Thursday, June 3, 2010
Time: 10:30 AM to 11:45 AM  EST
Location: Crystal MN
SPEAKER :
Mary Scott, Scott Resource Group
Description
Visiting employers' web sites and applying for positions electronically are well-established recruitment protocols—but how do students measure their efficacy and impact? Mary Scott will present the findings of a recent study that examines, on a comparative basis, how today's students assess the online application process, based on their recent recruitment experiences. Topics include the design and functionality of employers' careers pages; features of the most—and least—impressive online applications; and the degree to which the electronic interface impacts an employer's brand and students' interest, for better or worse.
