Description
Are you hungry for some creative ideas and innovative approaches for career focused educational programming? Are you interested in engaging faculty, business, government and community leaders in your programming series? More importantly, are you trying to put “cheeks in the seats?” You’re no different than many career educators trying to discover the magic formula to successfully appeal to and educate our students. Stevenson University has used programmatic major themes like, “MARCH MADNESS,” and “WOW! World Of Work” as well as enticing educational programs like “Fashion on Trial” for students accused of inappropriate professional dress conducted in a real courtroom with a Jos A Bank executive as the key witness, “Top 10 Things that Recruiters Hate to Hear in an Interview” HR VPs panel and “Interviews Gone Wild” presented by Theater majors for class credit. Find out how we needed a pivotal paradigm shift to educate differently so that we can feature non-conventional speakers and programs. You’ll hear about what worked fantastically and where we failed miserably. This session will provide you with new and creative possibilities. We would love to hear about your successes as well!
