Description
In the wake of the economic downturn, attraction and retention of employers on campus has become increasingly important and stakeholders, more than ever, are taking an interest in students’ destinations after graduation. It has become increasingly important for Career Centers to spend more time, effort and resources on attracting high-caliber employers in order to provide the best opportunities for their students. But what are the most effective strategies to attract and retain employers? To facilitate the selection of the most effective strategies, the presentation is also aimed at helping career center professionals think and act from the perspective of an employer. The presenters in this session have 5 years of experience in corporate account management with a marketing research and employer branding consultancy and nearly 10 years of Employer Relations experience at a top tier university, respectively. Based on these experiences, we will introduce a framework by which Career Services professionals will be armed with tools and strategies aimed at enhancing employer relations program through strengthening relationships with current employers and effectively developing new relationships with highly sought-after employers.
