Description
Despite the fact that national job loss has recently leveled out, there remain thousands of unemployed individuals who need retraining to be employable for the workforce of tomorrow. As more of these displaced workers are turning to colleges and universities for retraining opportunities, institutions of higher education need to be prepared to meet the needs and challenges faced by this growing population. This session will cover best practices and challenges for aligning programming and services for displaced workers and regional economic development.
