Low Budget Strategies for High-Touch Recruiting
Track : RR
Program Code: 530
Date: Thursday, June 2, 2011
Time: 1:30 PM to 2:45 PM  EST
Location: Dallas 7
SPEAKER :
Amanda Perry, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission
Description
A weak economy and low hiring projections have taken their toll on recruiting budgets. In a world of automation, Twitter and Facebook, it is very hard to defend a labor and resource intensive, high-touch marketing strategy, when taxpayers are demanding less Federal spending and budgets are being cut. However, hands-on networking with students is exactly what they are looking for and like the current housing market, these same conditions also make this the best time to recruit top candidates. We will discuss: 1. Stretching the travel and event budgets for maximum effect 2. Low cost ways of contacting and staying in touch 3. Creating campus ambassadors 4. Using the career center to pull it all together.
