Description
Studies show that new hires begin to question their decision to join your organization after their very first day on the job! Employee retention begins on day one, so the onboarding process is your first opportunity to deliver on recruitment promises and reaffirm your new recruit’s decision to join your organization. And, lets face it, most onboarding (if done at all) is boring and consists of talking heads delivering complex and, dull, information. This session shows how to onboard today’s young talent effectively and meaningfully. Today’s organizations must make their onboarding programs interactive, experiential and engaging, so that young talent becomes energized, committed, and engaged from day one. This session provides concrete tips, strategies, and activities that participants can immediately implement back at their organization to create successful high-engagement onboarding programs. Specifically, participants learn how to design and practice interactive learning experiences that: create cohort, present an organizational rubric for success, embed new hires more effectively, involve senior leaders, leverage the “newbie” perspective, and provide new hires with the skills and sensibilities to succeed in the organization.
