Bruce is the 5th generation to manage Hellerick's Family Farm located in Doylestown, Bucks County, PA. Our story has been one of continual change to meet the needs of the local community. Historically, the farm is a traditional Pennsylvania Dutch Farm with a house date stone of 1797. In 1939, a three-lane highway cut the farm in half. Today the same highway is a major connector from Philadelphia to New York City with 22,000 cars passing each day. On the 30 acre farm we hold our strawberry festival in the spring and Pumpkin/Flower Picking Festival in the fall which attracts thousands of farm guests each year. Bruce has a BS in Hortiulture from Delaware Valley College, Doylestown, Pa and a MPA from Penn State. He was Penn State County Agent Horticulture in Lancaster County PA and is currently Sr. Horticulture Specialist with The Brickman Group.

Description
Remember the day when the words "Please" and "Thank you" were used and your change was counted back to you? Do you remember the day when someone would help carry your purchases to the car and even help you load it? At Hellerick's Family Farm this type of Old-Fashioned courtesy and service happens every day. This kind of attitude had helped to set us apart from many other local businesses and it has also made us known as the "helpful, friendly farm." This presentation will focus on the basics of business etiquette, training employees to want help farm guests and tips and pointers to make your farm guests have a more enjoyable shopping experience.
