Description
Differentiating curriculum is often a serious challenge for the teacher of gifted learners. This interactive session will demonstrate two innovative curriculum tools Catalyst Cards and Curriculum Grids that can provide both content and strategies for differentiating curriculum in elementary and middle classrooms. Participants will have the opportunity to interact with content Catalyst Cards in such fields of anthropology and aesthetics, while learning to develop original cards. In conjunction with the Catalyst Cards, the Curriculum Grids will provide a context for the cards that relates differentiated content to important concepts and skills including argumentation, discussion, logical thinking, and accessing information.
