Description
Case studies providing data and stories from professional situations that end in a dilemma in order to engage participants in a reflective analysis of teaching, learning, and curriculum can help prepare teacher educators to work with gifted and talented children. Thus, educators can draw from case studies that situate learning in authentic and meaningful contexts to better identify and provide services for gifted and talented students. Participants will explore issues and recognize concerns related to identifying and serving gifted and talented children in case studies employing examples and non-examples with discussion questions, extension activities, and suggestions for further reading.
