Description
Project STEM Starters focuses on improving differentiated, content-specific science instruction in the elementary and gifted classrooms through sustained and targeted professional development. This specific study targets teacher perceptions about science teaching and learning and their concerns about the implementation of a STEM initiative. Early results from this study suggest experimental teachers have gained confidence in their abilities to lead students in developing science content and process skills. Results and implications from these first-year results are presented in this session.
