Description
This presentation shares the experiences of an educational foundation and a residential summer program for gifted students for the purpose of demonstrating one way that partnerships can be formed to advance the potential of underserved students. Representatives from both organizations discuss the processes of preparing underserved students for a summer residential experience, including support that is emotional and logistical, as well as financial and academic. Student experiences are shared to demonstrate the tremendous impact that this partnership has played over the course of ten years. Ways to replicate this experience are generated by presenters and participants.
