Description
With “going green” being at the top of most everyone’s list, recycling our junk into math manipulatives is the thing to do. Parents and teachers are introduced to “green” manipulatives that they can create from what might have been headed to the trash can or recycle bin. Pizza boxes, tissue boxes, or bottle caps become fun and useful math manipulatives. Session attendees participate in activities using some “green” manipulatives and they leave with ideas and instructions for useful “green” manipulatives for use at home or at school.
