Description
Discover the possibilities of what can be accomplished when teachers, administrators, parents, and students work together to develop gifted services that address students’ academic, social, and emotional needs. In response to parent concerns, a small, rural district has developed a full-time gifted center that utilizes acceleration and enrichment to address the needs of gifted and high-achieving students. This presentation focuses on the development of this unique center. In addition, challenges and successes are shared to demonstrate how coordinated efforts can lead to dynamic change in gifted services.
