Time: 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM  EST

Description
The very environments that foster giftedness also make children vulnerable to feeling tremendous pressures. Underachievement of our gifted and talented learners can stem from internalized pressures of perfectionism, immense creativity, and/or acceptance which directly relate to the praise and criticism presented in these environments. A child’s community (i.e parents, family members, siblings, etc.) can assist with dealing with these pressures by advocating for appropriate curriculum in schools and providing realistic guidance without diminish of creative outlets. During this hour long webinar, parents will learn ways to recognize and address the challenges with their underachieving gifted and talented learners. Parent to teacher and teacher to parent communication tactics to ideal teacher and parent discussions will also be shared.
